The year 2007 is fast approaching and it promises to be an amazing year for the hardcore gamers . WELL who can forget the “FarCry ” , the game took the market by storm when it was released in 2004 due its stunning visualizations , awesome gameplay , beautiful surroundings , great AI and a wonderful story . Crytek developed a new engine called “Cry Engine” for this game . The game became so popular that a movie is currently being made on it .

But now the German studios Crytek are back with there latest offering called “Crysis” . The game features a much more advanced form of the CryEngine called “CryEngine 2” and it will be the first to use the Direct 3D 10 capabilities of Windows Vista . Some of its engine features include

  • Volumetric Clouds
  • Motion Blur
  • Dynamic Soft Shadows
  • Fully Interactive and Destructible environment
  • Full Day Night Cycle with sunrise and sunset effects

The game will also use Shader model 4.0 along with 2 and 3 and its performance will be best in a hyperthreaded machine due to its Multi threaded engine . The Trailers of the game looks amazing with the beautifully rendered environment and i cant wait for its release .

The sequeal to UT 2004 is back and it brings some kick ass action along with it . The game uses the Unreal Engine 3.0 which also features some amazing graphics . The game is basically multiplayered but will also contain some single player action which will mimick its multiplayer counter part by adding AI Bots .Who cares as long as you get to kick some ass . The company has worked a lot on the games AI , the bots will be able to understand simple voice commands and thus will make the game somewhat interactive .

The game makes use of the NovoDex physics engine to deliver very advanced Visual experiance .It also features loads of cool weapons and vehicles . The game is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2007 with the Windows  version coming out first followed by the PS3 version .

F.E.A.R. Extraction Point

When you talk about games , there is bound to be a discussion of F.E.A.R. The game was one of the most best sellings games of all times . It featured some awesome physics and AI . The horror sequences of the game were quite terrifying , even terrifying than  DOOM 3 i feel and its slo mo effect was Uber Cool .

F.E.A.R Extraction point is the expansion of the horror themed FPS game F.E.A.R. It is being developed by the TimeGate Studios , and not Monolith production which developed the original game . Rumours are there that the game will continue from where the original left . Well the original game was quite high on System resources and this one will also follow trend .

There are several more games lined up but these 3 are the ones i think people must be waiting for . If you have any more games to suggest , do tell them here in comments section.

So if you wanna enjoy all the games , get ready to update your Computer or better , shift to Consoles.

Just a note that there are no official Crysis forums yet and those made-up “requirements” are from a Crysis fan-site.

The official system requirements will be announced by Crytek when the game is nearing completion.

  2. This one I really wanna play… CAn’t wait for it to come out… 🙂
