Fifa Vs Pro Evolution Soccer
I am absolutely crazy about Football games . Hardly i day goes by when i dont play them . Now whenever we think of any soccer games , there are only two games that come to our mind and that is “FIFA” by EA Sports and “Pro Evolution Soccer or Winning Eleven” by Konami . Ofcouse i am not mentioning “Football Manager” or “Fifa Manager” as they are more management oriented . Here i will discuss the various features of the games …..the thoughts expressed are my opinion only .
My tryst started with soccer games when i first got hold of FIFA 2001 . I was very much impressed by thr gameplay and the graphics which was very well considering that time . The game was followed by FIFA 02 , 03 , 04 , 05 etc . Each game proved to be much better than its predecessor in terms of Gameplay , graphics , commentary and i spent hours playing each one of them . But at that time i hadnt heard of Konami Pro Evo SOccer as at that time it was mainly available for the consoles and even the gaming industry was almost entirely monopolized by FIFA . But around 2 years back , i got a chance to try out the demo of PRO EVO SOCCER 4 and beleive me i forgot FIFA from that day . The gameplay which PRO EVo SOCCER offered was way much better than that of FIFA . The player’s movement were damn realistic ,the flexibility in the game play , graphics which i found better than FIFA etc got me hooked . The game improved with Pro Evo Soccer 5 whereas i found that EA didnt give much attention to FIFA as there recent releases FIFA 06 and FIFA WOrld CUP 06 …..even FIFA 05 was lot better than them . Now Lets take a look at some comparsion points between the two .
THE BATTLE
1-> Graphics wise FIFA seemed to be doing well with each release until they released FIFA World Cup 06 ….the graphics of latest installment is damn bad compared to the level of graphics we have in the Games of today . Pro Evolution Soccer on the other hand offers much realistic modeled characters which are as equivalent to there real life counter parts . Even the Stadiums are beautifully rendered .
2-> FIFA wins by a large margin when it comes to Licensed teams and tournaments . They got license for almost all the teams in the World and you can even play in all the major leagues in the World . PES 5 lacks in this respect but i think that will change when there next installement comes out .
3 ->The League system of FIFA is also lot better than that of PES 5 . You got a carrear mode which is just great and you have little bit of management involved in it too , you can even buy and sell players just like real life managers do , you have to meet the expectations of the board othewise you can be sacked . PES occurs a Master League Mode where some amount of trading and training is involved but i dont think that it can match FIFA as of now .
4-> Commetary wise i cant say much but i find FIFA to be much better .
5 ->But the most important thing is the gameplay and in this regard PES is much better than FIFA . In Fifa the game play is quite good but it tends to get boring after a while as you score almost the same type of goal every time and you can even make a player run all the way from your half and score a goal . But such is not the case with PES . The gameplay is much more realistic than FIFA , even the goal scoring ways are so much diffrent everytime you score . The controls of PES are also amazing and offers you to do a variety of things with the ball ( harder to master ).
Overall i find PES much better than FIFA , there are a lot of people who find FIFA better but i think many of them havent given PES a try , do try it and beleive me you will get hooked .

hiya every one out there pes is much better than than fifa … 1 reson guess what game all the england footballers play yer u guessed it pes !!! 2nd reson they always bring out a book out on pes !! to help you with taticks and formation stuff like tht u dont get tht with fifa not at all.. 3 reson its just a much much better game it might not have all the licsences but it has much much much better detail in the game play and tht what counts … oh one more thing fifa is realy easy… when ur loosing on fifa u can swicth it to ameture and win every match whats all tht bout …. anyway over and out benjiwoolacott pes fan for life…..:D

Fifa 07 is the most overated game ever to grace this planet. it is good for the first few hours when it is fresh and new. i was playing it with some mates and was seriously thinking about buying it (i had rented it). when i got it home the next day and had a solo day, i have never been more disappointed in all my life. non of the through balls ever go to your player, shots seem to always hit the post from an angle, and don’t even get me started on that’finesse shot’ thing. what a load of rubbish. i had been playing it for about hours and was already on world class, which is an absolute joke because i was winning every game about 6-1, and it is impossible to keep a clean sheet, and i had buffon in net. it is just to easy. the only good teams on it are man utd, arsenal and barca. henry and ronaldinho are just impossible to tackle. man utd were the only team to give me a real challenge, eventually knocking me out of the fa cup on penalties. people who say that it is more realistic than pro should be shot. when i played chelsea, they conceaded and just rolled over and died. do you ever see the real chelsea doing that….hell no
craig bellamy is the best player on the game (bar henry and ronaldinho) and he got 4 goals for me against chelsea, he ran rings round terry, when does that ever happen. i won everything there was to win in the first season in 1 day. can’t wait for pes to come out and spank it into the middle of next year when the next dross that will be fifa 08 will be out. pes is the best game ever. pro evo 4 is better than fifa 07. the only good thing that fifa has got is the commentary. it really is class. and licensing. if pes had both of those then fifa wouldn’t even be sold in game stores beacuse it wouldn’t sell a single copy. there’s a cheat on the tinternet that lets you get pes kits anyway, so its really just the commentary. don’t even bother renting fifa unless ther’s 4 of you and your only going to play it for 1 night just for something to do. thank god pes comes out this friday, so i can take this kack back to the shop.

Bought FIFA 2007 today . Will review it soon .
Although over the past battles between FIFA and PES, PES always seemed better yet i bought both.
Both games have great GRAPHICS in their own way however, in FIFA the graphics have always outshone PES in general i.e. when the teams walk out onto the pitch, the sheer realism of players was frightening. Im not saying that PES was bad but FIFA took the point in this category.
GAMEPLAY will always go to Pro Evolution Soccer. FIFA seems a bit tedius after a while with the same ‘top corner’ goal. Yet, after reviewing the FIFA 07 demo, there does seem to be a glimmer of hope in gameplay: yet there are signs of it showing the old FIFA we’ve all come to love…and hate. Smartly, FIFA have adopted and slightly adapted certain features from PES; one major one is the two physics engine, one for the players and one for the ball allowing the ball to move more freely and realistic. Moreover, there was always something about PES which made us jump screaming when we scored a goal because the build up and the actual goal itself was unique. Having that option whether to take the ball around the keeper, dink it over him, lob him, place it (with he accuracy button which FIFA has copied) or smash it past him. The choice was yours making the game diverse. Not only the attaking edge but the defensively, sliding tackles were different every time compared to that on FIFA you could only slide the boring straight in line with where you were running.
Small features which make the difference – Commentary will outright go to FIFA, with their official commentators delivering facts, true emotion during the course of what happens where in contrast to that I have had to mute my TV as i couldn’t bare to hear the commentator say the clear obvious with an annoying accent. Official strips, real leagues and a ‘real life’ manager mode all come packaged into FIFA outclass for some, yet PES does have its good points in this area too. In PES, the referees are far more realistic than that of FIFA; ‘Playing advantage, blowing the whistle when (yes we all find it frustratin when the player falls on the ground) but that is football. Another huge thing which can swing it one way or the other is set-pieces. PES and FIFA differ immensly with set-pieces. Freekicks on FIFA…what went wrong there. Free kicks on PES are one the key features of fun on the game, having the opportunity to curl a ball into the top corner or to drill it low and hard…again the choice is yours. However, FIFA is in the driving seat (for me atleast) for best penalties…being able to emphasise if you want power, placement or to cheekilychip it into the net – keepers also have the choice to put of the attacker with movements they perform in goal.
And yes I probably have missed out on more areas which need attention but…i cannot be bothered as it is late and I want to go to sleep.
Before I hit the sack…Let us all remember and ask ourselfs not only which one do i buy but also… why am i buying this game…”to get the realism of being a manager” (FIFA has great manager mode) so what!, get LMA manager if you want a decent manager game.
We buy these games because we like to play a quality interactive football (not soccer) game. Therefore half the stuff doesn’t matter, whether the manager mode is good, quality of the stadiums, or even the licenesed clubs, players and leagues. It is all about the gameplay…which EA Sports can say it as many times as they like…this time “it’s not in the game”.

Pro evolution soccer lets you create yourself and allows you to choose your goal celebrations> The only faults in pes is that the names of some stadiums and alot of players are wrong and its fustrating goin to internet cheats for this game to find the real names to correct them.
The reason that i like pro evo over fifa is that you get to edit players and just do more stuff then fifa. Fifa doesnt give you real gameplay then pes and the goals are also the same.I tell you the thing to make pes the perfect soccer game.
1>All the names are correct
2>Better graphics like fifa
3>More tricks and better freekick options
4>Better commentry quotes
5>More varieties of balls, shoes, hairstyles etc….
lastly but more important
6>MASTER LEAGUE: create a manager, licenced clubs, more realistic management, newspapers and alerts
If konami can put all these features in there next pro evo
they would have the best game ever and every fifa fan will be dumpin there fifa and buyin there pes and therefore fifa will be ruined and pes will be unbeatable….
