Gmail is invitation free

16 February 2007 6 Comments

Finally after more than 2 years of its launch ,Google’s gmail service is now invitation free – anyone can directly register without being invited by another Gmail user . Representatives of Google say that they have decided to drop the invitation-only restriction because it is good for users. They now want to focus on the users’ needs first.

But one thing still remains …the beta status

So I wonder how many people are signing up for the first time… I have had gmail for years. I remember when invites sold on ebay for hundreds of dollars.
