although there are a lot of tricks as mentioned above it will be useful and nice only if google starts a system like conference chat

Sad to see Google still isn’t implementing XEP0045, multi-user-chat. It’s a basic feature in every other Jabber Client and Server, yet Google supports it in neither.

I still recall when internet was new, and public chatrooms were mostly everything people did. With the success of services like Chatroulette, I cannot believe that there would not be a demand for this.
