Google Reader extends sharing to Google Talk

15 December 2007 2 Comments

Google Reader has made there application more social by linking it up with Google Talk. This way your contacts in Gtalk who are using Google Reader can see what you are sharing and you can see what they are sharing in an easy manner.

Google Reader - Google Talk Are friends

Now when you log into your Google Reader account you will see a Friends shared items column being displayed in the left hand side which shows the items that are being shared by your friends. In the Google Reader settings, you can also select the friends with whom you would like to share interesting reads. You also have an option to clear your shared items in case you dont want your friends to know what you shared in the past.

Google Reader is one of my favourite applications. This is a great addition to an already wonderful application. Currently only my blog friends use Google Reader but in the future i expect it to become more popular.
