Electronic Arts is developing Tiberium, a new intense tactical action and visceral first person shooting game which is set in a sci fi world. The game takes place in a devastated earth and the main objective will be to take control of a powerful energy source called Tiberium.

The game is new franchise which is based on the Command and Conquer Series. Tiberium , the main theme of this game is a crystal which has the power to create energy. It has the power to save humanity as well as destroy it. The use of Tiberium was very much seen in the recent game Command & Conquer : Tiberium Wars. In the game

Gamers step into the shoes of Commander Ricardo Vega, exploring an alien tower over the wasteland, which was once the Mediterranean Sea. The tower, believed to be a dormant relic of the Third Tiberium War, turns out to be the base of a planned alien invasion. As all hell breaks loose, Vega finds himself on the front lines of the battle for the planet.

Tiberium will be both single player as well as multiplayer and it has already been in preproduction for 2 years. The previous FPS game of C & C series Command & Conquer : Renegade was a very popular game. So every body will be eagerly waiting for it to be deployed. The game is scheduled to be released somewhere around autumn 2008.
