Google Apps Team Edition released

Google has released a new Google Apps team edition which provides user-friendly application for employees and are aimed for employees who are keen to use the service although there employer has not signed up for it.

The new application comprises of  applications such as spreadsheet, word processor, instant messaging and calendar. It also gives employees a chance to set up workgroups if they have a valid email id with there organizations domain. It will help the users within an organization to share files and information more easily.


So while in this week, when Microsoft is awaiting a response for its bid to buy Yahoo, Google is also making an attempt to let people shift towards free software so as to pose a threat to Microsoft’s office programs. The “Team Edition” is available for free and can also be upgraded to Education edition which is also free.

      Google is always trying to compete with Microsoft but somehow I feel Microsofts products are much better when it comes to this…each one is best in their own area…the problem starts once they work on products which are not their area just with the intention of killing other…
