Call of Duty 5 Details

Call Of Duty

Call of Duty 4 was one of the best games of 2007 which sold more than seven million copies and won several awards. However I don’t think we can expect a lot from Call of Duty 5 as Infinity Ward, who made the COD games till now are not attached to it anymore. And the game will go back to World War 2 era again. However we have some details regarding Call Of Duty 5.

According to the latest issue of XBOX magazine, the game will be called as Call Of Duty : World at War. The game will be released for PS3, XBOX 360, PC, Wii, PS2 and Nintendo DS. Some of the details about the game are

  • It will feature a split-screen co-op gameplay on a single machine and online co-op for upto four players
  • It will take place in World War 2 and we will again be killing the Nazis
  • Game will be based on the modern warfare engine that was used in COD 4
  • The game will feature a lot of violence and gore and blood. It is being said that the opening scene shows the torture of a girl brutally

One of things which I would have liked was the game taking place in the modern world. The game features does look interesting but lets see how much justice does the new developers give to the game.

Actually, I remember reading that Activision wants to bring out a COD game every year. Since the development cycle of a game is min 18 months, both Infinity Yard and Trearch will be making the game alternatively. Hence we would get a COD game from Infinity Yard next year.
