FormatFactory

If you are a media file junky and love to convert between different video types, then FormatFactory is the simplest tool which you will come across. It is a multi functional media converter that handles 12 types of video formats, 6 audio types, 8 image formats, iPhone/PSP and DVD/ISO conversions with speed and accuracy.

In just a single program, you have the option of converting video, audio and image file and that too for free. Not only that, it also support iPhone, PSP and mobile devices, not to mention the DVD to video or DVD to ISO conversion. You can also convert files in batches with just a few clicks. Once you have selected the files to convert, you can specify the quality and presets of the converted video. It is quite fast for smaller files and the results are great. For larger files, it might take up a lot of CPU. The interface is something that isn’t the best but the functionality is excellent.

So what more can you ask for from a free converter. Tell me what you think and don’t forget to mention the tool which you use to convert videos.
