You can make the program automatically optimize your system or you can also specify the amount of memory to free up. It can automatically monitor and free up system memory. Its Autofree feature scales how much amount of memory is freed with the current system status thus optimizing the RAM. For freeing up the memory, it uses the Global Memory Compression Technology that performs way better than any other memory managers. The interface is simple and easy to use. Some of its features are

  • Fast, Threaded memory freeing with stop option
  • System Metric and Performance Monitors
  • Advanced Tray support
  • Access to Windows memory related Tweaks

This is one of the best and most simple memory managers which you can find. Do give it a try.

I’m sorry, but this program, and other like it, are bullshit. How this basically works is that it tries to get the OS to save as much of RAM to swap as possible. This doesn’t help “free RAM”, all it does is make absolutely everything slower. Sure, a single program might start up quicker, but for programs that are already running, which do you think is better and faster? Cache->RAM->Cache, or Cache->RAM->Disk->RAM->Cache? Programs tend to use RAM because they need it. Taking that away from them will only make them run slower. If you really do need more free memory, buy a RAM upgrade.
And memory “defragmentation” is bullshit. Disk defragmentation is useful because disks access information more quickly when it’s sequential. RAM is just that: Random Access Memory. It means that no matter where the data is, access is the same speed. Don’t waste your money with these kinds of programs, and more importantly, don’t waste your time.
