Give Computer Folders a new Look with Magic Folder Icon
By Madhur Kapoor on Oct 2, 2008 in Windows
Magic Folder Icon is a freeware that using which you can give every folder on your computer a new look. If you have a lot of folders for music, books, movies etc, then differentiating them can sometimes be tough and sometimes the default folder look is also boring. Now using this small tool, you can make them look different.
Apart from that it also offers a couple of nice functions. You can even use it to extract the icon from any type of resource file. You can also change the information that is displayed when you hove the mouse over your folder. The interface is simple and makes the task much more easier. And it even takes very less system resources while running.
So do give it a try and give your folders a new look. It works on Windows 98, 2000, XP as well as Vista and its size is just 564 Kb.

Nice tool.. I’ll give it a try.. Can’t we change the folder image in Vista by using the default Windows options??

It sounds like a great tool. I’ll download it and test it on my home pc, I have loads of folders in my system and a tool of this kind will most definitely help in sorting them out by assigning unique icons for each folder.
