If you have lot of music files on your computer, then finding them is a tough job unless all of them are properly tagged and named. And tagging thousands of music files can be a tough job and that’s where TagScanner can help you. Previously I have mentioned about Media Monkey which is just as great but TagScanner provides some nice features. It is a freeware that can be used to organize your music collection.
Its automatic tagging feature is very helpful. It can automatically check from many online databases such as Amazon, FreeDB etc to look for tags. Tags can be generated from files as well as folder names. One new feature is has that you can also rename your files based on your tags. It supports a variety of music format like MP3, OGG, Musepack, Monkey Audio, FLAC, AAC, OptimFROG, SPEEX, WavePack, TrueAudio, WMA, MP4 audio files and supports ID3v1, ID3v2, Vorbis comments, APEv2, WindowsMedia, and MP4/iTunes tags.
Its interface is nice and simple to use. You can even preview the file names before making the changes. It even has a playlist editor which can also export playlist in HTML, Excel and CSV format. There is an inbuilt music player allowing you to listen to music while tagging the files.
It is an all in one solution to manage your mp3 files. If you have a large mp3 collection, then do try it.
