PSPad – Powerful Editor for Programmers

PSpad

If you are looking for a text editor that can be useful for a variety of people, then this is the best option. PSPad is a freeware editor that can be used by people who need a simple text editor or by a web designer or by a programmer who is looking for a good IDE.

If you are looking to work with simple text, then you get a lot of formatting options along with a spell checker. For programmers, it is a great option as it provides a host of features for them along with multiple syntax highlighting profiles. It has a hex editor, CP conversion, text differences, macros, templates, auto completion, code explorer and lots more. It is already pre configured for a number of languages including C++, SQL, PHP, VB, ASP, Python etc. For HTML editing, it also includes TopStyle Lite and TidyHTML. It also includes supports for Project Creation. And one of its strong features is that it also includes an inbuilt FTP client for editing files on the server.

      I am currently using notepad++. Use it for editing my blogs php and css files. But use MS Visual C++ for CPP.
