If your Internet plan offers you limited Bandwidth per month, then it is better to keep a track of the amount of bandwidth you have consumed every time you work. Shaplus Bandwidth Meter is a small freeware program that remains in the system tray and displays the amount of bandwidth consumed.

You can make the meter to be always visible or adjust its transparency. You can even restrict its usage to certain time of the day. It can display the amount of bandwidth usage for a session along with that of the whole month. It even has a option to disable Flash and Images in Internet Explorer.

It is a very small program and a good one to keep track of your bandwidth usage.
