The default Windows Explorer lacks certain features that makes file management more effective. NexusFile is a free File Manager that serves as a very good replacement for Windows Explorer. It has all the features that Windows Explorer have along with some innovative features that makes File Management much easier and quicker.

It has a black interface and it color codes your files and folders with customizable color schemes. Its interface is similar to that if Windows Explorer but it has a dual panel interface that makes cut, copy, paste between folders much faster and quicker. It also has a tab support which allows you to create tabs. The Smart Address Bar remembers which folders you accessed recently and allows you to move between them quickly. You can create Favorite Folders for quick access. Along with these File Management functions, it has these functions too.

  • File Rename Tool
  • Disk Cleanup Tool
  • Folder Comparison Tool
  • Add Comments to Files and Folders
  • File Splitter and Joiner
  • Folder Tree Creator
  • Built In FTP Client
  • Skins

All of these features make it a very good replacement for Windows Explorer. It works on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.

Very nice app. Like it more than total commander because it works when total fails. It is faster and i managed to copy files from old dvd to my hard drive with it. Though total have far more plugins.
