HDClone free edition allows you to clone your hard disk or move your data from one hard drive to another easily. This is especially useful when you want to replace your old hard disk with a new one and you don’t want to install everything from the scratch.

The program installs itself on a bootable floppy or CD drive and you can directly boot from it at startup and it will run its own operating system. Using the graphical user interface, you can then configure it to copy your data from one drive to another. It will work with both ATA/SATA drive. The free edition is well suited for home and offers speed upto 300MB/min and also supports USB mouse and keyboard. You can also use it to take a complete backup of your hard drive.

The program works in Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Vista. The free edition is quite enough for home use. For advanced features, you can go for the paid versions.

Definitely comes in handy when we need it. Save a lot time from manually copy the content of the old harddisk to new or external harddisk.
