Shutter is a multifunctional Shutdown utility for windows which can be used to Shutdown, Reboot, Logoff, Hibernate, Lock etc your computer in the case of various events and actions. You can also set a timer which will perform the shutdown the computer after the completion of the timer.

The Events that can be triggered are Countdown, Winamp stops, Low CPU usage, User Inactive, Process stops, file size exceeds, ping stops, window closes. It can even automatically shutdown the machine in case of low battery. You can even use it to Turn Off Monitor, Mute volume, Hang Up connection, sound alarm in case of particular event. You can even configure it to run a program in case of an event. The program has a lot of options which can be configured. The user interface is nice and easy to use.


The program runs on Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista. It is a freeware.
