CurrPorts - View List of Opened TCP/IP, UDP Ports

10 January 2009 3 Comments

cports

CurrPorts is a free program that lists all the currently open TCP/IP and UDP ports on your computer. This helps you in finding out whether any suspicious program or malware is using the Internet connection for any activities. More information about each opened port is displayed such as the process using it, the path of the process, the start time of the process and user that created the process.

You can also use it to close unwanted TCP applications and kill the process that opened the ports. The information displayed by the program can also be imported to HTML, XML or tab delimited text file. One of the nice things about the program is that it marks the unidentified application which doesn’t have any version information or icons in pink colors. You can customize by going through the applications.

It is a standalone application that requires no installation. You can directly run it from USB drive and get the information.
