There are a lot of Dictionary software’s for computer but most of them are paid. TheSage is a free dictionary and multifaceted thesaurus for the English language which is integrated into a complete package. It helps you in finding the meaning of any word and phrase that you do not know.

The dictionary has more than 145,000 references with around 200,000 definitions. It runs locally and does not use the Internet connection. The thesaurus encompasses synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, metonyms’ etc. The tabbed interface allows for multi definitions and searches. It also offers Wildcard search, Anagram search, quick cross referencing and history and session recording. The information displayed can be easily copied to the clipboard. You can customize the interface according to your liking.


It is a great and free dictionary for you. The latest version runs in Windows XP/Vista while the old versions support Windows 95, 98 and Me.
