Cobian Backup – Multithreaded Backup Application

Cobian Backup is a multithreaded backup application that can be used to schedule and backup files from one location to another. You can also backup files manually or you can use this utility to backup files and directories on a schedule you choose.

You can backup files and directories on your computer to the same computer or some other computer on the network. It also supports FTP so you can backup your data to a FTP directory. The programs is not resource intensive and it will quietly run in the background performing backup when necessary. Files and directories can be backed up in original form or in a compressed form. It also supports Strong Encryption using DES, Blowfish and Rijndael ciphers. You can even backup to multiple destination and old backups can also be removed and replaced with new versions. It is an open source application and can be extended by using plugins.


You can even run this program as a system service. The program is free and open source. It works on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.
