The safety of our files is our prime concern whenever we store them on a USB disk or even if they are stored on a PC which anyone can access. We want to make sure that our private files or folders remain private and cannot be accessed by anyone else. Androsa File Protector is a simple and free program that can be used to encrypt and password protect any type of files. Once Encrypted, only those that have the proper password will be able to access it.

The program has a simple interface and is so easy to use that even a newbie will find no difficulty using it. It can even integrate with the Windows Explorer so that you can encrypt a file just by a few clicks. You can also use the interface and drag and drop files or folders to lock them. It uses powerful encryption algorithms like AES, Triple DES and DES to encrypt the files, ensuring that your data remains safe. You can even compress files as you encrypt them so that space can also be saved. It can even be used to create self extracting password protected archives. It can also scramble the names of the encrypted file for better security or it can also be used to scramble the whole hard disk.

The program is free to use and it is also portable and can be run directly from the USB drive. It works on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.

That’s good. I will try this for sure. I was using the password protection from MS Office for my presentations and docs.
