If you like to work with several applications at once, then there proper organization the computer screen can very much increase your efficiency. You can manually place them on the screen but you will have to resize them accordingly and that might take a lot of time. WinSplit Revolution is a free utility which lets you organize your open windows by tiling, resizing and positioning them in order to make the best use of your Desktop screen.

This utility is very helpful for those who have an LCD monitor because it can help you in working with several windows by organizing them on your wide screen. Using this utility, you can quickly split your screen into two halves etc and the resize any window and place into the top, left etc corner of the screen. You can then use a virtual keypad or hotkeys to switch windows or full screen a window. It automatically handles windows closing, resizing and placement. You can drop the windows into different section and it has a mosaic mode which splits the screen into 9 equal parts and will place the window in each section (in case you have < 9 windows, it will adjust the size). The program quietly runs in the system tray.

This is a great utility to use if you have a LCD screen or a dual monitor setup. It is a freeware and works with Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
