Free Audio Editor is a free audio utility for Windows. It lets you record the audio or open your Wav, Mp3,Wma etc files. You are able to cut, copy, paste parts of your recordings using it. Apart from that, it also contains a lot of basic as well as advanced features which can add a lot of effects to your audio files.

You can use it to adjust the pitch of the audio file or change the sampling rate. You can add effects to your audio like echo, vibrate, fade and reverb. It includes a compressor, normalizer and noise reduction tools. Its interface is very simple and easy to use. It also supports real time effect preview of your audio files. It also supports a number of file formats including Wav (multiple codecs), mp3, ogg, wma, vox, gsm etc. A pro version of the software is also available which offers functions like CD Ripper and batch processing facilities.


The program is free while the pro version costs $30. It runs on Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003/Vista.
