Display Accurate Battery Information in Taskbar with BatteryBar

27 April 2009 2 Comments

The battery meter and information that is provided by Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 is not accurate enough. It basically gives you a rough idea and there are a lot of fluctuations in it. BatteryBar display important battery information in the taskbar without taking too much space. As it monitors your battery, it keeps historical data on your battery to give you an accurate estimate on how much time is remaining.

BatteryBar

After downloading and installing BatteryBar, right click on the taskbar and add a new toolbar to display the information. It will display a small meter which will show the percentage of battery remaining. If you left click on it, you will get a estimate of the time remaining. When you put your laptop on AC power, the meter will change colour from Green to Blue. To get more information, just hover your mouse over the bar.

BatteryBar is a freeware which runs on Windows. A pro version of the software is also available for $7.50 which adds some extra feature like support for themes and power schemes.
