29 April 2009 One Comment

ZenKEY is a free application which allows you to control almost all the aspects of your Computer System using your keyboard and functions. It enables you to perform a lot of functions using only keystrokes. The program can hold all your shortcuts and components in a single place. It may resemble Start Menu but it comes with many features. It works on the Zen arts concept according to which the body and mind should work in one harmonious way and it also applies for you and your Computer which is an extension of your body.

Some of its features are

  • Launch a program or bring it back into focus
  • Perform an internet search using any search engine
  • Simulate a series of keystrokes
  • Iconify Windows – Replace any window with live icon
  • Open a document, folder or an internet resource
  • Start the screensaver or shut down the Computer
  • Resize, Move, Alter, Minimize, Maximize window
  • Control Media players

It also has a transparency feature using which you can make any Window transparent. The programs resource usage is not very high.

The program may take a bit getting used to but it can turn out to be a very useful application. It is a freeware and works on Windows.
