Look@Lan is a free and easy to use network monitoring software using which you can monitor your network easily and get loads of information about it. It also includes an IP address scanner which can scan your Local Area Network and detect nodes.

It can monitor your network and can give you alert if any change happens like a node goes offline etc. The program will automatically scan your network or you can also specify an IP address range.
