25 May 2009 2 Comments

There is nothing worse than starting the Computer to do some work and then waiting a lot for all the programs to finish loading. Starter is a free application that lets you view and manage all the programs that are starting automatically when Windows starts.

Apart from the normal stuff, it also enumerates all the hidden registry entries, startup folder items and some of the initialization files so that the user can choose to disable, edit, modify, create new, delete the entries. Apart from that, it can also lists all the running processes with there advanced information like the memory usage, thread count, priorities, DLLs used etc. You can also terminate any process that you want. It also comes with a Windows Services manager which has some advanced features. The interface is simple and self explanatory.

The program is a freeware and runs on Windows.

hmm nice little tool, but I use TuneUp Utility to perform such simple tasks. It is an ultimate Window Tweaker.
