Copy Files with WinMend File Copy

25 June 2009 2 Comments

The default File Copy function of Windows is not useful enough when you are trying to copy many files as if there is any error in between, the whole operation is disrupted. WinMend File Copy is a free and excellent batch file copy tool. The utility claims that it can copy files 3 times faster than the default Windows File Copy.

The utility has got some nice features which makes it worth trying out. When copying big files and large number of files, the unique duplication engine of this product works 300% faster than the system default and saves you a lot of time. It supports Copy resume so even if copying is interrupted due to any problem, it can be resumed from the last breakpoint. After the copying operation is completed, an error list appears which shows the files that were not copied. You can copy them later. The program has three modes which are “Skip files of the same name”, “Match and overwrite files of the same name” and “Overwrite files of the same name”. You can also pause the Copy process if it is taking too much CPU and you want to do some other work. The copying can then be resumed later.

The program is a freeware and runs on Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7.
