Compare Files with ExamDiff
ExamDiff is a freeware visual file comparison tool which lets you examine two different text or html files side by side for any differences.
The usage of the program is very simple. You can select the two files that you want to compare or even drag and drop them into the program window from Windows Explorer. ExamDiff will then display the files in a split screen view and will even highlight all the differences at different places. You can copy stuff from one pane to another simple by drag and drop. It also has a push re-compare function which attempts to leave the viewer’s focus in the same place as before the re-compare. It can also automatically detect file changes and prompt the user to recompare files. It also remembers the specified number of compared files and it saves the differences in a standard UNIX DIFF file. The ways in which comparison is done can also be customized to suit the user’s needs. It has a very nice and simple interface and lots of different options which can makes comparing files an easy process. The program also has command line options which can also be used.
The program is a freeware and works on almost all the version of Windows. A pro version of the software is also available if you want more features but the free version is enough for basic needs.
