Windows Live Wave 3.0 is the next update for Microsoft’s online services and it is now available for download. The suite includes Messenger v9, Windows Live Movie Maker, Mail, Writer, Photo Gallery, Family Safety and the Outlook Connector.

After installing and trying out Internet Explorer 8 beta 2, it looks as though Microsoft is serious about giving some tough competition to Firefox 3. The new beta has got some new features that makes browsing much faster and more intuitive. It has an improved address bar, a suggested sites feature, intelligent tabs, a privacy mode and lots more. It is much much better than the previous beta we had seen.

Microsoft is going to add a new Privacy Mode to its next release of Internet Explorer 8. With it, just by clicking a button, users will be able to limit how much information is recorded where they go online and what they do. This made will also clear the browser cache at the end of the session.

On Friday Bill Gates stepped away from his daily duties at Microsoft, who he founded at age 19 to devote his time to philanthropic work. He still is Microsoft’s chairman and largest shareholder but Friday was his last day as a full time worker, thus marking the unofficial end of his long journey.
