Get Windows 7 Taskbar in Windows XP with viGlance Sun, 07 Jun 2009 07:48:17 +0000 One of the best features about Windows 7 is the new Taskbar which groups each Window relative to the process thereby making it more organized and less cluttered. If Windows XP users were missing this functionality, then they can easily get in Windows XP by using a freeware called viGlance. Using viGlance, users can get Windows 7 Taskbar in Windows XP easily.

Similar to the functionality in Windows 7, viGlance will group all the Windows relative to the process. Each application will have its own reserved space in the sidebar and each child window of that application will be grouped within the reserved space. The viGlance Superbar also displays the full color 48X48 icons thereby making it quicker to identify the programs. It even replaces the XP start button with a Windows 7 like small Orb and it also delivers a smooth fade transitional effect. It even has a transition system called “Glide” which is similar to the Aero Peak system in Windows 7 and each group gets dynamically resized using the Glide information.

Using it, Windows XP users can enjoy all the features of the Windows 7 taskbar. It is a freeware and works on Windows XP.
