All you need to do is drop in at a select Vodafone Store between August 20 and 21 and confirm your booking by paying Rs 10000 through cash or credit card. Don’t forget to show the iPhone booking SMS, which you would have received from us, when you visit the Vodafone Store to make the deposit.

Airtel have also announced there pricing and it is also the same. So that means have to shell out Rs. 31,000 (approx $756 ) for the 8GB model and Rs. 36,000 (approx $878) for the 16GB model. So it is definitely clear that Apple has failed again with there pricing strategy in India. Many people, including me were expecting the price of iPhone to be between Rs 15000- 20000 and they are sure going to be disappointed and who can blame them. The price is too much to pay for the iPhone 3G. So we might see only Apple lovers going for this device.

Microsoft Office Labs has released a free keyboard launched for Windows called Speed Launch. It is nothing exceptional compared to other launch applications such as Launchy, DESKonTOP etc.

The program adds a small Bulls eye on the screen and you can drag your frequently used programs and documents there to add them to Speed Launch. The Launch window can be accessed by pressing ‘Windows + C’. You can then use the button or the keyboard to launch the specific application. The program does have a few cons. It consumes too much memory, around 35 MB on Windows Vista which is too much compared to other similar applications. And it doesn’t allow you to change the hotkey to something else.

But considering this is an experimental project still under development, such things can be expected. Lets hope they improve it in subsequent versions. This version requires .Net framework 3 to run.

EA has announced that Crysis Warhead, the sequel to last year’s shooter Crysis will release on September 12 in Europe and September 16 on North America. It will be a standalone title and features a story that can stand on its own, even if a gamer has not played Crysis, he can still play the game and not get confused in the story line.

Crysis required a killer machine if you wanted to enjoy it with all eye candies. But Warhead as been optimized so that it can run on a wide variety of machines. The game takes place in a new island than that featured in Crysis. It will feature three multiplayer modes, including a new match type called TeamInstantAction, that mixes fast-paced action in a team-based environment, as well as InstantAction and PowerStruggle that return from the first instalment.

The game is available at the price of $24.95 . Lets hope it doesn’t have the same astronomic requirements like Crysis.
