Stage6 is shutting down on February 28. Yesterday, when I visited the portal, I got this information which was posted by a DivX employee. For all who haven’t heard about Stage6, it is a video uploading site owned by DivX Inc. The quality of videos available there is a lot better than that of other sites such as Youtube, Metacafe etc.

The site became extremely popular upon its launch due to the fact that it provided better quality videos. And now the company does not have enough resources to continue the web site on its own. They were unable to find a buyer for it and they don’t have any other option other than to close it. I am bit shocked by this decision as this was one of my favorite site. I am also surprised by the fact that none of the big market players have come up to buy such a famous site. The site is going to shut down in a couple of days.

If you are looking for some good music videos, movies, TV shows etc in high quality, then do head there. You have only 2 days.
