Greasemonkey Scripts for Internet Explorer
By Madhur Kapoor on May 31, 2008 in Tech
If you are an Internet Explorer user like me, you must have missed the cool Greasemonkey extensions which can be used with FireFox. But now, there is some hope for us. A IE add on is available called Greasemonkey for IE which can be used to bring the functionality of Greasemonkey to Internet Explorer.
The bad thing is that there is only a limited number of scripts available. But still, it is a great add on available for IE and in the future we might look forward to having a greater number of scripts available. If the developers can produce a compatibility between the scripts available for FireFox, then it will be great.

Might I ask why you, which may be considered a power user, is using Internet Explorer? Internet Explorer is generally used by those who do not need anything out of a browser, as it is lacking many extensions (Opera and Firefox have have Greasemonkey for ages. You’re still missing out on great additions to GM like Platypus), not handling well under extreme usage, not supporting newer technologies such as SVG, and because it is very uncustomizable. There are many choices of web browsers nowadays, yet you choose from the bottom of the pile. Amazing.
