Burn CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD with CDBurnerXP
By Madhur Kapoor on Sep 24, 2008 in Windows
Nero is one of the best utilities around for burning CD/DVDs but Nero is not free and there are a lot of free options available. Even though you can use Windows XP to burn your CDs, it is not really as effective as you would like and it cannot burn DVDs. CDBurnerXP is one of the best freeware’s available to burn CD/DVDs.
Not only can you burn CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD using it, you can also use it to burn and create ISO’s. It can also Burn audio CDs with ease and has features such as ripping music from CDs and editing the ID3 tags as well. Bootable CDs can also be created as well and rewritable CDs an also be erased. Some other important features include LightScribe integration, ability to convert bin and nrg files to ISO, simple cover printing etc.
Though its interface is not the best, you will get used to it if you give it a try. One of the best free utilities available if you don’t want to spend a single penny. And don’t be mistaken by its name, it supports Vista also.
Thanks for a nice suggestion. Its a great app. Worth a try.
