Hash Generations such as MD5, SHA1 are used to verify the integrity of the data. You can use them to check if the data has not been changed in case of backup or Internet Downloads. Crypto Helper is a free utility the can be used to verify the integrity of any file.
The best thing about the program is that it integrates with the file context menu and adds two items - ‘Get Sign’ , ‘Check for Sign’. We can easily use it just by a click of a button. So it can be used to generate file signatures as well as checking for file integrity. To use it, just right click on a file and select the appropriate option. It currently supports MD5, SHA1 and CRC 32 hashes. The hashes can also be easily copies to clipboard.
A nice and simple utility to verify the integrity of data. It can work on Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista.
Thanks for the share. It’s helpful indeed.
