Get Tooltip information for Text, Audio files with InfoTag Magic
By Madhur Kapoor on Oct 16, 2008 in Windows
An infotip is a short bit of text that is displayed when you hover a mouse over a certain file type. It is used to provide details about the content of the particular file. InfoTag Magic is a useful shell extension that provide useful tooltips on hovering the mouse over audio, text and shortcut files.
It can work with audio files like mp3, wma and ogg vorbis and can display ID3 tag information on hovering the mouse over the music files which includes artist, title, album, duration etc. With text files including TXT, INI, LOG, BAT, etc files, it will display the first five lines of the file on hovering the mouse above the file. This is useful when you want to preview the file without opening it. For shortcuts it will display the target file name and location while for executables files, it will display the version information on hovering the mouse above the files.
It is a nice and innovative program to preview a file before opening it.
Wow, this will really enhance my PC.
Thanks for this trick.
