Spamihilator is a free spam filtering program that can work with most of the popular email client. It will run like a local POP server and will sit between the email client and the mail server and will filter the mail based on an inbuilt mechanism and user defined criteria. This ensures that you don’t receive any unwanted or spam mails.

It uses Bayesian Filter to calculate the spam probability for every email received. The filter can also be trained by us so it can recognize even better. You can even specify it certain ‘spam words’ and it will use the Word Filter to block emails which have those words. It has a Link filter which searched incoming messages for links which directs to spam websites. You can even maintain a list of friends or a list of blocked friends to block specific senders from sending you messages. It establishes a secure SSL/TLS connection with the email server hence all the communication is encrypted. All the spam mails will get saved in the Spamihilator’s Recycle bin. You can even restore some messages from there if they are not spam. The aggressiveness of the filter can be controlled and you can even teach it so as to make it better. The functionality can also be extended using plugins which can be downloaded.

The latest version can receive mails from POP3 and IMAP accounts. It supports most of the email clients like Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegasus Mail, Incredi Mail etc. It is a freeware and works with Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.
