Microsoft PowerPoint is a great tool to make presentations. But sometimes, you want to make a presentation in a video format. You can always try Windows Movie Maker but it doesn’t offer many animations and effects as PowerPoint does. E.M. Free PowerPoint Video Converter is a free software which allows you to convert your PowerPoint presentations to Video formats in a few simple steps. It supports PowerPoint 2000/2002/2003/2007 and can convert to Avi, MPEG, WMV, MPEG4.

The interface of the program is simple and very easy to use. To add the presentations that you want to convert, click on “New Task” and then select the desired presentations. Then you have to select the mode which can be “Auto” or “Interactive”. In “Auto” mode, you specify the time interval between each slides and it will make a video based on that without user interventions but this mode does not save the animations.

In “Interactive” mode, a small window opens and you have to manually change each slide with the left/right arrow keys. The presentation will get recorded as you change slides and at what interval you choose. This is quite a good method and can save animations. You can also Record Audio through Microphone or add an external sound file. You can change the output format, output quality, Type of Compression, File Name and default output folder. You can also do batch conversion. The speed of conversion is fast and the quality is also good.

A pro version of the software is also available which can convert to a wide variety of formats but the free version is enough for basic needs. It can work on almost all the version of Windows.
