GetWindowsText is a freeware using which you can copy text from Windows Controls. The windows error messages that you receive won’t allow you to copy the text it shows. The little program can help you copy the text from those windows.

The program is simple to use. Simple drag the program icon over the window from which you want the text to be read and it will automatically extract the text from the window. It can read text from most the static contents like Groupbox controls etc. The program also works with directory tress in Windows Explorer.

The program requires no installation and runs on Windows XP, 2003, Vista and Windows 7.
