Thanks to my friend Sanjay a.k.a Starfire for introducing me to this thing . IMVU is an instant messenger which allows you to chat with other people online . But its no ordinary text chat , here you create your avatar , create your very own 3d rooms , decorate them by adding furnitures etc . It also allows you to express yourself virtually by shaking hands , hugging or even attacking .

The avatar you create can be either male or female . There are thousands of things to choose from while creating your Avatar ranging from clothes , hair style , eyes , skin color , shoes etc . You even get to create a homepage on there site which you can decorate as you want . In the beginning you will get 1000 Credits while registering and you can earn more by chatting with others. Yahoo is developing a new version of Messenger for Windows Vista . And its interface looks awesome .

Some of the new features are

The interface looks a lot nicer than the previous versions and some coll features are also being added . Lets hope they release something similar for XP users too .

Yesterday when i tried to sign in to Yahoo Messenger i was unable to do so . I tried a couple of time but did not succeed . At that time i thought that there was a problem in the server or the college has blocked it again but the same thing happened for 2 hours . Then i decided to go the website and check my Yahoo mail . There i got the same error that my password was incorrect even though i hadnt changed it . I was quite shocked that how could a person hack my account , remebering at the same time a recent post by my friend qwertymaniac whose yahoo password was also hacked recently . I clicked on the lost passoword link . I was taken to a page where i had to enter my Bdate , Zip code and country . Luckily i remebered the correct info as i had entered the correct ones while making my account . But after submitting the info i got a response saying that ” For your protection your account has been temporarily disabled “ . I dont know what was the reason for it and how can Yahoo do such a thing . I sent a mail to there Customer Support but in there response they gave me links for ” Forgot password ” etc . I emailed them today again giving them full details of my account and explaining my problem . Hope i get my account back . I have been using it for 6 years now and all my contacts are in it . Have any of you guys faced such a problem ?

P.S. to Qwerty : Are you sure your account was hacked. I mean the same could have happened with you .

I have been getting a lot of forward messages on my yahoo messenger . Some claim that today is rose day , i love you day etc . Some say that Yahoo is going to shut down all account who dont forward this message to there buddies . Many claim that an …. person is sick and yahoo has decided to pay 10c for every forward . Some claim that on forwarding the message to everyone in your account a new list will appear in the messenger which wil show all the people even if they are in invisible mode . Some claim that if you dont forward them within a day Bad Luck will come to you .

The latest trend in such type of forwards is the “add your name to the list ” style . You write your name in the msg and forward it to your buddies . Your buddies will add there to the list and forward it .

The amount of messages have hugely risen in the last 1 year . Now whenever i login to messenger 6-7 such messages are waiting for me .

Dont know what people gain from this . If anyone has some idea do enlighten me .
