There have been a lot of rumours regarding Gphone in the last few months, and a new one is spreading on the net right now. It is being heard that Gphone is a linux based mobile operating system and not a device.

The operating system will be based on linux and will be free for hardware providers as it will be supported by Google Ads. Apart from this it will also include rich versions of Google search and Google maps. It is expected to be released by Google later in the year and mobile phone which will be based on this will arrive soon after. It is still a rumour at this stage but who knows what will happen in the future ? I will keep you updated if i learn more .

HP has launched its online web photo sharing service Snapfish in India. For those unfamiliar with Snapfish , the service offers professionally developed digital camera photo prints, free online unlimited photo storage, free online photo sharing and free photo .

The best thing about this is that you can get your photos printed in various sizes and delivered to your door step just by few mouse clicks. You can also get your favourite photos printed in TShirts , mouse pads , mugs, key rings and calender. The price starts at Rs 2.95 for a normal 4 x 6 print and can go upto Rs 399 for a printed shirt. Around 2 weeks ago i started using Safari , though it was faster for me than Internet Explorer and Firefox , there were a few bugs in it that needed attention . Luckily Apple has released an update for the beta version which addresses some if these issues .

The text display has been improved along with launch times . A security hole which enabled a hacker to change the address bar to make a fraud site look like a legitimate one has also been rectified . An update for the mac version was also released which addresses issues related to Google Reader , parental controls , iChat etc .

A consumer has filed a lawsuit against Microsoft for misleading customers with there “Vista Capable” labels on PC’s which cannot run features such as Aero , Media tools , Flip Navigation etc . The suit alleges that marketing around was Vista was designed to deliberately mislead custmers.

The suit filed by Dianne Kelley of USA claims thay many computers labeled as “Windows Vista Ready” were not vista capable . Before the launch of vista Microsoft allowed PC vendors to put stickers on the system saying they were Vista ready when the system could only run Windows Vista Basic , which does not allow many of Vista’s core features such as aero etc . The suit also maintains that it was unreasonable of Microsoft to assume that every person can understand the system requirements of diffrent versions . (more…)

Its Official now , the Sony Playstation 3 will be officialy launched in India on 27th April , 2007 . The model that will be available is the 60Gb one and it will cost around Rs 39,900 .

A range of games from the companies like Electronic Arts , Namco etc will be available . The games will be priced at Rs 2999 . The titles initially scheduled for line up are Resistance : Fall of Man , Ridge Racer , NFS Carbon , The Godfather etc .

Now lets hope the line up goes as it is planned . It is good to see consoled such as XBOX 360 and PS3 being officialy released in India but i am a bit skeptical about the price of PS3 . With the Xbox 360 being available at around Rs 23000 - Rs 27000 , i dont think much people will go for PS3 . What do you guys think ?

First of all let me aplogize as my site was down recently . Actually my site was shifted to a new server and i forgot to change the database address of my server , hence it was not accessible . Now everything is fixed and if you encounter any problems , do tell me .
