Daniel from DailyBlogTips has started a series on “Speed Up your site” with his first post being on Optimizing the images on the site and engtech has also written a good post on Optimizing the site . After reading these posts i was also concerned about the loading time of my site and what can i do to actually improve it .Generally the loading time of the site should be between 1-3 seconds or else this might discourage visitors from visiting it and this is very important in case of personal blogs . Some of the important tips i learned from these posts are

1)Image Optimization and using the correct format

If you use quite a lot of images on your site , they create an extra burden on the site and it adversaly effects the loading time . So it is very important to use a proprer format for the images . The are softwares like Photoshop which have a feature of “Save for the Web” which can be used to reduce the image size . Another tool which Daniel Mentions is the Online Image Optimizer from Dynamic Drive which can also convert file format if needed. (more…)

First of All let me wish you a very Happy New Year .

Now looking back 2006 was a good year for me , i started blogging this year and subsequently was introduced to a lot of new terms like SEO , Link Exchange , Social Bookmarking , Link Back etc and not to mention ..an introduction to world of Web Designing . Over the few months i learnt a lot of things on these topics and made a lot of good friends on the Internet . So overall it was a good year for me in the blogging front but next year i plan to make it even better . (more…)

Its been nearly a year since i started blogging and in this post i will try to recapture some things which i have learned through this amazing experiance .

1. One thing which i have known through blogging is the power of words and speech .
2. I started blogging so that i can express myself to others but it really gives a lot of satisfaction when people read what you have written and appreciate it . It really puts a smile in your face .
3. It is a great way to learn and teach new things .My outlook on technolgy has definately changed from last year and my knowledge has increased temendously.
4. Blogging is not an easy job as i had expected when i started blogging . You need to put in hard work .
5. Blogging provides with lots of business oppurtunities.
6. Blogging helps in social networking through which you get to meet a lot of interesting and passionate people around the world .
7. You can make a living from blogging .
8. Blogging is all about interacting with your readers.
9. There is a lot of money in blogging . Depends on how well you can earn.
10. Blogging is all about being patient.

Most of you guys must be knowing that i am a Die Hard Manchester United fan . So me supporting arch rivals Arsenal is a rare case and today was that rare day . And since the match was between Arsenal and Chelsea , i am sure most of the red devils would have been supporting Arsenal .

The game was quite intense with both teams going for the win but it came to life in the 2nd half when Arsenal scored the first goal . After that we had a lot of quick paced action with a stunning goal from Michael Essien drawing Chelsea level . And then to be honest Chelsea played very well and they might have won it .. But overall i am happy that the game has ended in a draw …Good result from my point of view … Now the gap between United and Chelsea is 8 pts which Chelsea having a game in hand . But the way i United have been playing in recent weeks i reckon that this will be there season …may my wish come true…..FOREVER RED

Well after more than a month of torture am back at home …but guess tune there wont be much of a rest . ..My campus placements might begin from January and so during these holidays i will be busy preparing for that …revising c , c++ , data structure and what not .

But there is more to life than c, c++ etc . Am also looking forward to playing Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and a lot of other games including Carbon , F.E.A.R. EP , Prey and lots more , guess i will have to find a lot of time . Just finished the 2nd season of Prison Break …was deeply disappointed to know that the next episode will be aired on 22nd january .But for the time being i have started “Heroes” , lets see how it turns out to be ..
