Share Keyboard and Mouse between Multiple Computers with Synergy

Synergy

Synergy is an open source software which allows you to share your Keyboard and Mouse between multiple computers. It is very useful when you have several Computers together and you want to control all of them using a single keyboard and mouse. This can save you a lot of time then having to move from computer to computer. All computers should be connected by LAN.

Once the program has been installed, users can move the mouse off the side of the computer on one desktop and the pointer will appear on the desktop of another computer. The program is actually deployed as a Server which defines which screen edges lead to which machine. All the key presses are delivered to the Computer in which the mouse pointer is located. Thus you can control multiple computers as if they are all a single machine. You can easily copy files between machines or can synchronize the clipboard and screensavers.

The program is a freeware and works on Unix, Linux, Windows and Mac.
