DiskCryptor is a free and open source software which can be used for Encryption of all the disk partitions including the system one. It is quite similar to another similar program called TrueCrypt. The program uses its own partitions format and Encrypts data using AES-256, Twofish or Serpent algorithms in XTS mode.

DiskCryptor supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS and exFAT file systems. It offers you a choice of the Encryption algorithm from AES, Twofish or Serpent and Cascaded modes are available as well. Some of the other features of the program include

• Full support for dynamic disks
• Ability to create encrypted CD’s and DVD’s
• Full support for 3rd party boot loaders (LILO, GRUB, etc.)
