USBDeview lists all Connected USB Devices

21 July 2009 No Comment

USBDeview is a small freeware utility that lists all the USB devices that are currently connected to the Computer and have been connected in the past. It displays a lot of information about the USB devices like the Device Name, Description, Device Type, Vendor ID, ProductID etc.

The program is portable and requires no installation. Just copy the executable file on the Computer and run it. The program will then display information about the USB devices. You can also choose to disconnect or uninstall any device on the list. The list can be exported to Text/HTML or XML format. You can also use USBDeview on a remote computer with admin rights. It also allows you to test the read/write speed of your USB flash drive. The test is made by writing a large file into your USB flash drive, and then reading it back for testing the read speed.

The program is portable and also supports command line options. It is a freeware and works on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/7.
