If you want to magnify any part of your screen, you can always use the inbuilt Windows Magnifier feature but you will notice that the magnified text is not as sharp as you may want it to be. Magnifying Glass is a free high quality magnification software that uses advanced image filtering algorithms.

On running magnifying glass, a magnifying glass lens will appear on the screen and you can drag it to any area of the screen that you want to modify. You will notice that the magnified text is very much sharp and smooth which provides for better readability. Right click on the icon and you can choose between the sharp and Soft lens. You can also choose ‘fun lens’ for a fish eye magnification glass effect.

The program is a freeware and works on Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It will run in Windows Vista and Windows 7 in compatibility mode.
