Group Icons into Stacks using 7stacks

7stacks is a freeware using which you can organize your files and icons into ‘stacks’ which can be quickly accessed from your task bar or desktop. This gives you a great way to group all your similar applications within a single stack and access them quickly reducing the icon clutter as well.

You can also create a stack of a folder’s contents. This gives you a much easy and quick way to access the files and other stuff inside the folder. With just a couple of clicks, you will be able to access files and documents. The application allows you to customize the look and feel of your stack. To create a stack, just run the application and select the folder which you want to stack. You can specify the type of stack that you want which can be ‘vertical stack’ , ‘Grid’ or a ‘Menu’ like structure. The icon and font size can also be specified and it can also show you the thumbnails of the documents.

You can also create stacks of your special folders like My Documents, My Pictures etc. If you are using Windows 7, you can Pin the stacks to your Task bar for quick access or you can add it to the quick launch bar if you are a Vista or XP user. The program makes use of ‘Aero’ if you are running Windows 7 and XP thereby making the stacks look like part of windows itself.

The program is a freeware and provides a quick and unique way to access your files and programs quickly. It runs on Windows 7, Vista and XP.
