Task Coach - Friendly Task Manager

TaskCoach

Task Coach is a simple open source to do manager to manage personal tasks and to do lists. It grew out of frustration that well known task managers provided and Outlook and Lotus notes do not provide facilities for composite tasks. It is mainly designed to deal with composite tasks.

Every task that you create can have a subject, description, priority, start date, due date, completion date and an optional reminder. Tasks can even recur on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. Tasks can be sorted by Task attribute and can be viewed as a list or tree. Attachments can also be added to tasks, notes and categories and a status of the task depends upon all the subtask under it. Tasks can have a budget and tracking time spent on tasks can be stored. Tasks, notes can also be exported to HTML or CSV files.

A portable version of the program is also available which can be directly run from the USB drive. It is available for Windows, MacOSX as well as Linux.

I know that this post is about a task program that you install, but I’d like to let you know about a web based task manager called Lifeplannr.com. It is the best web based solution I have seen for managing tasks from anywhere.
