Monitor Intel CPU Temperature with Real Temp

13 July 2009 No Comment

Real Temp is a free and lightweight temperature monitoring program which has been designed for the Intel Single Core, Dual Core and Quad Core processors. Using it, you can quickly find out the temperature of your processor and when it may be overheating. The core on these processors has a digital thermal sensor (DTS) that reports temperature data relative to TjMax which is the safe maximum operating core temperature for the CPU.

It also displays various other information about the CPU like CPU model, clock speed and CPU load. The program can display the CPU temperature in the system tray or you can run the program whenever you want to take a quick peek at your CPU’s temperature. The program can also be configured to shutdown your Computer or run a file when the CPU temperature reaches a certain user defined level. So you can make the program kill certain tasks or shutdown the machine when the temperature rises.

It is a very small and lightweight application that can come in handy for Intel CPU owners. It is a freeware and runs on Windows.
